I should start with a greeting. An introduction. A few details and the odd clue about who I am and why I am here.
So hello. I’m Michael. Thank you for stumbling or clicking onto my new page!
The purpose here is to give me a space to write and think and write some more, then think again etc on the various topics that fill my brain space on a daily basis.
I attempted similar several years ago, however I feel my youth and ignorance stood in the way of any real open minded writing of any value.
So what interests me and what can you expect to read and hopefully engage in here?
Firstly, this is all about something that I see happening less and less in Western societies, especially online and that is the pursuit and engagement of debate, conversations and deep sophisticated discourse, between multiple sources, from all and any angle on a subject. As long as it is a qualified & studied position.
No shouting over one another…no getting offended…certainly no one being shut down or de-platformed providing we can all be reasonable, considerate, be a good listener and avoid inciteful & violent behaviours.
I am interested in all conversations concerning the universe, people, nature and everything that comes along with that…from the sciences, religion, politics, economics, history, geography and language to more personal topics such as personal faith, divinity, self awareness, self discipline & assessment.
Off the bat, I am self taught in most disciplines and have studied for 22 years out of a thirst to know more about everything.
However, I rarely hold a position on much these days. Not because I believe the fence is a comfortable place to sit, but because as the title of my blog suggests…The more I know, the less I understand.
The universe is too deep, too sophisticated, too nuanced and too beautiful for a simple human to claim they know anything.
